Today’s architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) stakeholders want accurate deliverables, more efficient buildings and smarter processes—and they want them faster. To meet the demand for better work in less time, AEC leaders are turning to Building Information Modelling (BIM). BIM is much more than just three-dimensional visualisation; it provides a complete process for creating and managing a building project from start to finish.
Whether you’re looking to move your project to BIM to fulfil requirements from clients, investors or government-funded projects, or simply because you want to run your own workflow more efficiently, a successful BIM implementation makes a difference by saving time, reducing wasteful errors and expanding design possibilities in line with modern BIM working standards such as BS / PAS 1192.
ProjectVault’s model viewing technology allows the individual models to be combined (federated) on the fly providing any combination of model views. The viewer supports all the tools needed to make best use of the model, including transparency, clipping planes, hiding items, multi-selecting items, item product information, model tree structure, on-screen joystick controls.
Every version of every model is retained by ProjectVault, the models, and all associated product data are viewable on a single collaborative platform. Development of each model and remediation of any engineering issues are managed on the design team’s local software, exported to ProjectVault and shared with the team.
ProjectVault uses the accepted standard file types using the BCF file format to export any Design Review or RFI workflow processes, allowing reviewers to review and comment offline.
