David Edwards the Design Manager at Interserve, Leeds, came into the business at a time when there was no document management solution to manage the design process. Every document was stored on the company server, having an effect on IT resources, and a lot of time was taken to distribute documents internally and externally using excel spreadsheets and emails in order to do this. Uploading documents to a shared drive could also take time. They needed a solution to manage the whole design process.
